Homeowners across Great Britain could be eligible for ECO funding, which can help to improve the energy efficiency and warmth of your home and reduce energy bills.
Under the ECO4 scheme, eligibility for home insulation, heating system replacement and much more are possible, however there is strict criteria surrounding eligibility.
Grants to help with energy efficiency measures
The primary objective of the government ECO scheme (Energy Company Obligation) is to help to make homes more energy efficient and in turn make them warmer, comfortable, and lower the cost of heating bills.
There are two routes for a homeowner to qualify for funding under the scheme – the Help to Heat Group or ECO4 Flex.
The Help to Heat Group requires the owner of the property, or someone registered as living at the address, to be in receipt of certain government benefits.
Similarly, as a homeowner, if your local authority has deemed you to be in fuel poverty, or on a low income and vulnerable to the cold, you could also be eligible for the government’s ECO4 scheme for energy efficiency improvements. Check your local authority website for their LA Flex eligibility criteria.
